Mushroom Masala


Mushroom Masala is a flavour packed Indian style Mushroom stir fry. This is a quick and easy mushroom dry  sabzi. It goes well as a side dish chapatti, Naan or even with rice.



2 onions chopped

1 tbsp chopped ginger

1 tbsp chopped garlic

4 green chillies sliced

Few curry leaves

½ tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp coriander powder

1 ½ tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1 tbsp black pepper powder

Salt to taste


Wash the mushrooms. Slice and set aside.

In a pan add oil .Then  add chopped garlic and ginger. Fry till its colour chages to slight brown.

Now add chopped onion, sliced green chillies, and the curry leaves.

Sauté  till the onions turn translucent.

Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and black pepper powder.

Sauté until the raw smell had gone just for a minute .

 Add chopped mushrooms and salt.  Fry on a medium flame for two minutes,

Cover and cook on low flame till the mushrooms are cooked  and it is dry.

Serve mushroom  masala with rotis or with rice
