A fried patties recipe made from beaten rice with mashed potato. It is ideal as a party starter or as patties for burger or sandwich.
Ingredients
2 boiled & mashed potato
1 cup thin poha/ beaten rice/Avil
½ tsp chilli powder
1/4tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garam masala
½ tsp chaat masala
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
½ tsp black pepper powder
1tbsp corn flour
2bspcoriander leaves
½ tsp salt
1 cup bread crumbs
For Batter
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp all purpose flour
¼ tsp black pepper powder
¼ tsp salt
½ cup water
Method
Rinse one cup of poha in water. Add washed poha to the mashed potatoes. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala, ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, con flour , salt and coriander leaves. Combine well and make small patties.
Add maida, corn flour, pepper and salt to a bowl. Add half cup of water and stir well to make smooth flowing consistency batter. Now dip the patties in the batter and further coat with bread crumbs.
Deep fry the patties in hot oil on medium flame flipping occasionally till it turns golden brown.
Serve poha cutlets with tomato ketchup.
