These light and fluffy whole wheat Biscuits are made with whole wheat flour. They are ready in 30 minutes and perfect to serve along with tea.
Ingredients
1 2/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ cup sugar
½ cup butter
¼ cup milk
Method
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl and mix well.
Add butter and work with your finger tips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Add milk and knead to form a smooth dough.
Using a rolling pin,roll the dough out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into rounds about 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
Transfer the biscuits to a greased baking pan or lined with parchment paper . Prick the biscuits with a fork to create holes.
Preheat the oven 350 degree F(180degree C) and bake for 20 minutes until biscuits are pale gold.
Serve them with a cup of tea or store in an airtight container.
