Curd Sandwich

Curd sandwich is one of the healthy sandwiches to eat or to pack up in the tiffin box. To make curd sandwich all you need is fresh carrots, onions, bell pepper, hung curd, bread slices and some spices. Here is how to make it.


1 cup hung Curd

¼ cup grated carrot

¼ cup finely chopped capsicum

1 green chilli chopped

1 finely chopped onion

½ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder

¼ tsp Chaat masala

1tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Salt to taste


Bread slices


In a large mixing bowl take hung  curd. Add finely chopped carrot , capsicum, green chilli and onion to this and give a good mix. Now add kashmiri chilli powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander leaves and salt.  Mix well and keep aside. (To make hung curd hung the curd in the muslin cloth for 3 to 4 hours or till all the water drains.)

Take a slice of bread and spread the curd mix generously over one side of the bread slice, cover and press with another slice over it.

Heat a sandwich maker or a griller and add some butter. When the butter melts place the prepared sandwich and spread butter on the top. Toast it till golden brown.

Once done, cut the sandwich in half or serve as it is with tomato ketchup.
