French toast is always a weekend breakfast. This basic French toast recipe is made with eggs, milk, bread, Vanilla extract and cinnamon. Vanilla extract and cinnamon brings a richness of flavour to French toast.
6 slices of bread
¾ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Beat together egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon powder and vanilla extract.
Heat a griddle. Add one teaspoon of butter or ghee.
Dip a piece of bread into the egg mixture and let it soak for 10 to 15 seconds on each side. Let the excess egg mixture drip off before placing French toast on heated griddle.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Serve immediately with your favourite toppings,
Note: You can serve it with maple syrup, berries, honey or butter
