Oats Idli

An ideal breakfast for those who are calorie conscious. It is easy and quick to make. The texture and taste of this idli is very similar to rava idli. These oats idlis are instant and require no fermentation

1/2 cup Oats

1/2 cup Semolina/Rava

1 cup curd

1/2 tsp baking powder

Salt to taste

1/2 cup water

On a tawa, dry roast the oats until it turns slightly brown and then powder the oats in a mixer. In the same tawa fry semolina for a few minutes on a medium flame.

Once it is cooled completely mix all ingredients with water to make a thick and smooth batter

Grease the idli plates with oil and pour the batter. Steam the idlis for 15 minutes

Once done remove the idlis and serve with chutney or sambar.
