BayLeaf Tea

A hot cup of bay leaf tea can be very comforting, almost like aroma therapy. The best way to get the benefits from herbs and spices is to brew as tea. A simple soothing bay leaf tea will boost immune function Bay leaves are a rich source of vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron, potassium, Calcium and Magnesium. It has antibacterial and anti fungal properties


3 large fresh bay leaves

11/2 cup of water

1 tsp sugar

Milk (optional)


Add the bay leaves and water to a pan

Cover and boil over high flame for 3 minute

Remove the pan from the heat and let the tea steep for 2 minutes

Strain and add sugar. If using milk only use a small splash as too much milk dilute the flavour of the tea
